A few months ago, we talked about the benefits of referrals for marketers. Along with being inexpensive, efficient, and effective at converting leads, they are relatively simple to set up and maintain. Here at VidOps, we decided to set up our own referral plan, we’re not certain it will work, but we will check back in a few months time to let you know! We’ll treat our own system as a case study (for more info on video case studies check out our testimonials page here). To give our referral scheme every chance of success below is an outline of what we’re doing.
The reward structure
As mentioned in the video above, if anyone introduces us to a lead who signs a deal, we offer you a choice between a £250 voucher (eg. Amazon) or cash, or £500 credit for our services. This applies to each new opportunity you introduce to us who makes their purchase within 12 months of the introduction.
All referrals are tracked in our Hubspot account. Once we have completed the project and they have made their payment, you will receive your credit or voucher within 30 days. Credit can be used at any time within 3 years—if not used in this time, it can be converted back to the voucher/ cash option (obviously at 50%).
How It Works
Once you fill in the form on the referral page, your details will be added to Hubspot as a potential referrer and you will receive an email with your custom referral link. Once you have your link you can use this in a number of ways, either in a direct email to someone you think that may want video or to a wider audience.
